DESIGN STATEMENT

Drawn to Art and Design as ways of expressing ideas, emotions, and stories. In my view, Interior Design is not only about function, but also a form of art that shapes how people feel and interact within a space. As a design student, I value creativity and an open mind, as they allow me to explore different perspectives and create spaces that are both thoughtful and expressive. My work focuses on designing interiors that feel human, emotional, and meaningful, with careful attention to how light, color, texture, and spatial flow influence mood and atmosphere. A space can feel calm, inspiring, or inviting depending on how these elements come together, and through my designs, I aim to create environments that connect with people emotionally while still responding to their functional needs. I have explored Graphic Design and Visual Arts alongside Interior Design, and these disciplines continue to shape the way I think and design. They have strengthened my sensitivity to composition, balance, and visual storytelling, allowing me to approach spaces with a layered and expressive perspective. My design process begins with observation and research, followed by sketching, mood boards, and visual exploration, where ideas are gradually refined into spatial solutions that balance creativity with practicality. I see this process as a dialogue between concept and function, where each decision supports both the emotional and physical experience of the space. As a student, my work reflects my belief that meaningful Interior Design exists where art, function, and emotion intersect, and I strive to create spaces that linger in memory.. spaces that are not only lived in, but felt.
